Principles of Art
Line- Mark between two points, in any form.
Shape- Areas in two dimensional space defined by points. They can circles, squares, rectangles, wtc.
Color- Light reflected off objects. Colors have hue, value, intensity.
Value- How light or dark the color is
Texture- Surface quality, often characterized by seeing or feeling
Volume/Form- A shape in 3 dimensions
Balance- Combing colors to feel stability
Harmony- Combing similarities to make it feel unified
Contrast- Combing elements to stress difference
Movement- Helping the viewers eye through art, giving the feeling of movement
Rhythm- Indicates movement, caused by placement of colors
